What we checked: Lets you set prompts aside as drafts: end a prompt with ;; to save it instead of sending it, or use /draft. /drafts shows a sidebar or dialog to put a draft back in the prompt box. Drafts are kept per session in the plugin's own store; it makes no network calls and runs no programs.

Registers session.start (registers /draft and /drafts commands, loads the session's drafts, prunes drafts of sessions idle for 30 days), prompt.submit (drops and saves a prompt that ends with ;; instead of sending it; only for prompts typed in the composer; a catch handler drops the prompt with an error message if saving fails), command.run for draft and drafts, ui.close, and ui.render for the above-prompt number buttons and a sidebar pane. Runtime calls: $.store get/set/delete/keys, $.prompt.read/fill, $.ui toast/open/close/ask/panes, $.session.id/surface, $.clock.now, $.command.register. Keeps at most 50 drafts per session, newest first. No network, file, process or model calls. The ../types import resolves to types/index.d.ts, which is only type declarations.

How to install

This mod is not in the official Claude directory, so you load it straight from its source on GitHub. modsforClaude.com is an unofficial community site: we do not host, repackage or install anything. Read the source and the review on this page first.

In the terminal

Clone the repository and start Claude Code with the mod. It stays loaded for that session.

git clone https://github.com/vynnlee/mods
claude --plugin-dir ./mods/prompt-drafts

In the desktop app

Clone the repository into a folder you keep:

git clone https://github.com/vynnlee/mods ~/claude-mods/mods

Add that folder to CLAUDE_CODE_PLUGIN_DIRS in the env block of ~/.claude/settings.json, then start a new session in the Code tab. On Windows, with your own user name:
